A silver fork containing a very sad story of a Belarusian family.

Our friend helps refugees with clothes, food, and legal support.
At the end of 2022, a woman in her 40s approached her with a request to collect some food and clothes for her 14-year-old son.

The son was dressed in cold clothes for December. He was thankful for any things offered. He ignored that the shoes were tight and the sweater was oversized. "The main thing is that it will be warm," he said.
Happiness knew no bounds when a standard set of food was collected for him: Porridges, Canned food, Pasta, and Fruits. "Is it possible that we will have porridge with meat for the new year," he let out a tear.

A friend asked the boy why he was so hungry and cold. The guy was laconic, but after a while, he gave up and admitted that his mother works 10-12 hours, they lived in a hostel for $80 a month, they didn’t make ends meet at all, and they were evicted from the hostel, and they were forced to spend the night at the station. December.
After these words, they were offered to live with people from the Belarusian community until their financial problems were resolved. Despite their plight, they resisted, worried that they would cause inconvenience to other people. They did not think about themselves at all. They thought about others! But they were persuaded.

When asked how they ended up in Poland, they told their story:
In 2020, when the boy was 12 years old, he went to a rally in Belarus
And after 2.5 years, a criminal case reached this family. The criminal case threatened imprisonment for the mother since she is responsible for the actions of a minor child, and the boy himself should be assigned to an orphanage since there is no other guardian. That's why they fled to Poland without knowing the language and without paid work. They had nothing literally, but they decided it was better than separating the family for years and imprisonment.

A few weeks later, the mother decided to return to Belarus because her mother was dying.
Since then, neither the guy nor his mother has contacted us, and their fate is unknown. But we do not leave attempts to contact them.

We would be happy to support this family financially with the sale of this fork, which someone will eat steak with, knowing that this purchase helped the family survive.
But we can't do that for now - we don't even have their bank account.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated story, and from time to time, new repressed people are announced, even though the events took place more than 2.5 years ago.
Therefore, we leave this terrible story with this fork and will still withhold % of its sale to needy refugees. If you want to help people get their feet back on the ground and be self-sufficient, write to us, and we will tell you more about the fund.

P.S. Personally, my disappointment lies in the fact that this family has lived all its life according to its conscience and the rules dictated by society. The fate of people should not be destroyed for expressing their position. They do not deserve such a fate.
